MY HORSES

Chaps
2002 Sorrel Quarter Horse Gelding
I bought Chaps when he was 4.  This was the last year I showed Lady Tiazz formally, besides fun shows.  Chaps was green broke, I know this is a very subjective phrase and needs a definition to make sense...so just to give you an idea, he could not even trot next to me like done in a showmanship class.  Despite that, we worked through it all, I gradually learned the stock style of showing as I trained him.  Now he rides Western, English, over fences, bareback, bridleless, with a halter, with a curb bit, with a snaffle, has worked cattle.  I am not sure what else, he is just truly an all around horse.  Oh and by riding western I mean, trail riding, showing western pleasure, equitation and showmanship and doing games.  He is a once in a lifetime horse.  He is my all around horse!

Zorro
2005 Sorrel Quarter Horse Gelding
I bought Zorro right off his mother at 3 months old.  After that, I spent hours with Zorro.  His yearling year he got an injury to his hind leg, so we did very little, training wise.  As a two year old, he knew all of his showmanship and was good at lunging.  Once he turned 3 in August 2008, I started riding him.  Lightly at first, I rode in through the fall and then gave him a break over winter and most of spring.  During this time I was focusing my time on Chaps.  Summer 2009 was his first year showing, he qualified for our State Show and placed first in one of his classes.  I did every bit of his training since I bought him at 3 months old.  Zorro has now been to state 4 times (and has won 3 trophies and a medal for completing the training program completely with me).  As of August 2012, he is headed down to state again, but this time with my younger brother!

GJ Lady Kai
2007 Bay AQHA Mare
I bought Kai as a weanling at 6 months old.  She had no human contact before this, she was raised the old fashioned way out on he range.  She came from a rancher who breeds high quality cow bred quarter horses and registered Angus.  I slowly warmed up to her...at first if you got with in 4 inches of her, she would jump to the other side of her stall as if you zapped her!  Within a week, I had her halter broke.  I used tarps, and ropes and whatever else to desensitize during the first few weeks.  She is awesome under saddle and is a great youth horse with a sweet western pleasure jog and personality.  Now Kai is an awesome, once in a lifetime horse.  She has the most amazing personality and can do just about anything.  We trained her to drive starting in October of 2011 and used her in our wedding June 2012.  She was amazing, even the honking and loud Harleys did not phase her!  I love Kai so much.

Painted Performer aka Jazz
2007 Sorrel Tobiano APHA Mare
Jazz is a gorgeous horse with a nice short back and strong hip.  Jazz is an awesome horse, a little shy, but sweet.  She is great with both Western and English pleasure classes.  I even rode her through the gaming classes once at a show just for fun.  In 2011, I took her to the MN state horse show, we placed 4th in training level 4.  I was so proud of her.  She is also so smooth to ride, my husband loves her and it is the weirdest thing, because she loves him too.  She will literally do things for him that she will not do for me :).
